Things To Do in Osterville

  • Dowses Beach is the public beach in Osterville. Beach passes are required for parking.

Craigville Beach is a beautiful and bigger public beach located in Barnstable, with more accessible parking and snack bars.

Anyone attending the wedding is invited to use the Grants’ private beach, located a short walk down the shore from Dowses. Text one of us and we will make sure you get to the right spot!

  • Fancy’s Market is a local favorite where you can get everything from wine & cheese, to subs & penny candy.

Crisp Flatbread is the pizza spot for both to-go and sit down.

The Chart Room is a casual seafood restaurant and bar located in Crosby’s Marina.

Although not technically a lunch spot, Four Seas Ice Cream is a Cape Cod staple and highly recommended by the bride and groom.

  • Cape Cod Beer is a pet-friendly barn brewery with live music, outdoor seating, and pub food.

Finn’s Craft Beer Taphouse is an outdoor brewery with a full lunch menu. They have line dancing on Thursdays and live music on the weekends.

Barnstable Brewing is another local family-owned brewery with outdoor seating and pub food.

Cape Cod Chips hosts factory tours at their plant. These kettle chips are a lunchtime staple in the Grant house, IYKYK.

Osterville Farmer’s Market runs every Friday from 9AM-12PM at the Osterville Historical Museum. Fresh fruit, doughnuts, and popcorn are some of the treats.

If you would like to golf while you’re here, please contact Alex to set up a tee-time at the Wianno Club.

Tennis will be available to play at the Grant house on Friday afternoon. If you would like to play a game outside of this, let Alex know and come on over! Times for the courts at the Wianno Club are available for those staying there as well.

  • There are so many places outside our neighborhood in the Cape! If you have time and interest, check out the below.

The Beachcomber is a classic summer spot in Wellfleet, MA. A great restaurant on the beach, it’s a staple for beach drinks and dancing. It gets crowded, so plan ahead!

The JFK Hyannis Museum is a good resource for history buffs and those who want to learn something while in Massachusetts.

The Cape Cod National Seashore is part of the National Parks Service and includes 6 swimming beaches. It’s beautiful to walk the dunes, have a picnic, or take a dip!

Providencetown (“PTown”) and Chatham are both beautiful Cape towns with lots of history and charm. PTown, located on the endmost tip of the Cape, is famous for its art scene, National Seashore Beaches, and LGBTQ-friendly neighborhoods. Chatham is quaint, has lots of lighthouses and beautiful sandy beaches, and the infamous Hydrangea House on Shore Rd.
